    I am so confused? Wrapped in cling film? Is he supposed to be a stale cookie? Or is it because of Nuclear Waste? Or is it what they do in East Berlin or is it just a little bit warmer?

    I can understand your confusion. All of the points you make about the beneficial effects of cling film are true. But the primary value of cling film is hygiene.
